Sauna in a city apartment

Saunas for installation in a city apartment is a wooden cabin with good wall thermal insulation. Such a sauna is heated with an electric stove-stove. Using a heater allows you to steam both dry and wet steam.

The furnace is filled with special stones withstand sharp temperature changes. These include the Karelian gabbro-diabase, Scandinavian diabase, volcanic perididitis. Previously, in the villages, the millstones of the millstone were redrawn on the stones for baths. Stones with a granular structure when water gets on them, they can split.

Stones heat up with a moisture -proof heater. The furnace body has good thermal insulation, almost all the heat generation occurs through the stones. The power of the furnace depends on the size of the cabin of the sauna. For single cabins, furnaces with a capacity of 3.6 to 4.5 kW of a single -phase voltage 220 V are used. For heating large cabs, stoves with a capacity of 6 kW are used. The most widespread stoves of 6.6 kW. Such stoves are produced for both single -phase and three -phase networks. More powerful stoves are produced, as a rule, in a three -phase performance. So when installing a home sauna, you first need to decide what power the stove will be and then prepare the electrical wiring. If there is no possibility to provide the necessary electrical power, then the sauna will not work.

Wooden cabin of the sauna

Sauna in a city apartment

The cabin for the sauna is a wooden frame. From the inside, this frame is sheathed with lining. External sheathing can be made from both the lining and chipboard, acrylic slab, other similar materials.

The most important element of the cabin is insulation. On the inside, it is protected by vapor barrier, such as foil. Various types of insulation are used – mineral or glass wool, pressed traffic jam, less often – bulk heater.

The front door to the cabin is sealed and should also provide good thermal insulation. Tightness is achieved due to the profile of the edge of the door (three and more stepped profiles) and the use of various sealing elements, mainly on the basis of silicone.

Internal elements of the cabin – shelves, stands under the feet, etc. p. usually made of linden or aspen. The more expensive option is the wood of the African Abashi tree, which has lower thermal conductivity than the usual varieties of wood.

Types of cabin cabins

There are only two options – the prefabricated design, and the cabin made by order.

The prefabricated structure is installed where there is enough space for it. The only requirement is that the distance from its outer walls to the walls of the apartment should be at least 5 centimeters. Such a gap provides sufficient ventilation and extends the life of the cabin. The sauna team is also collapsible – when moving to a new apartment, it can be transported like any piece of furniture.

Ready -made prefabricated saunas differ, in addition to size and shape, materials of internal skin. The most common lining of Scandinavian spruce or pine, cedar, chemolok, fir, alder and aspen.

In addition, the cost of the sauna team depends on the type of insulation – models with a pressed traffic jam cost an average of 30% more than similar, insulated with mineral wool.

The stationary design made to order with subsequent transportation and assembly is practically unable to. Such a sauna is attached and attached to one of the walls of the apartment, and its shape and dimensions depend on the location. For it, you can distinguish a piece of the corridor, or convert the pantry – well -hearing the walls and ceiling, ensuring their vapor barrier and waterproofing of the floor. Almost the same types of insulation are used as for prefabricated cabins, with the exception of bulk.

Where can you make a home sauna

Since the installation of a home sauna does not require the transfer of a water supply or sewage system, you can install it almost everywhere where it is convenient. Of course, that its installation does not lead to a decrease in the illumination of living rooms below the permissible, do not interfere with the passage … But it can only be installed in monolithic or brick houses with apartments of large area (the so -called houses of the first category).
