The processing of metal blanks by a moving cutter in the factory is carried out through the use of turning machines, which are controlled in two ways:

A master who turns flywheels.

CNC – numerical management.

The workpiece in the cartridge is fixed, which is three – and four -cup. The difference between them is the very principle of consolidation. If only one fist is enough in the three -cuplcous so that the rest are squeezed evenly and hold the workpiece, then in the four -cub will you have to twist each cam separately. To fix longer parts, the machine is equipped with a backdrop.

It should be noted that the current machine perfectly performs some functions of the milling workbench, since with its help you can drill the hole in the workpiece, and then process it with a zenker or a scan. In addition, on a lathe, you can cut the external and internal thread with a cutter or a dick with a tap.

Types of turning machines

One of the most popular in our time, the current machine 1I611P is a desktop metalworking workbench. Its dimensions do not exceed the stationary table, and it works from the network to 380 in.

The structure of the turning tank

Apron – is a set of flywheels that make the cutter move;

The hazeller is installed on the apron and designed to fix various incisors;

guides – the apron moves along them along and across the machine;

trough – holds the chips, as well as the cooling liquid from entering the floor.

However, the described machine is mainly used in the factory, as it requires a lot of space, and weight (up to 10 tons) is not permissible at home.

If there is a desire to process small blanks of the house or in the garage in the country, then you should look at the household model. It is a small table under which the engine is installed, and the rest of the parts are attached from above. Similar machines work from a network of 220 V, so the speed speed of the rotor in most models is not regulated. In order to reduce the speed of rotation, a rheostat was used before, but in our days this is carried out due to the control unit.
