The installation of steam boilers has its restrictions. So, their installation cannot be carried out in the following cases:

Directly under the crowded rooms: visual rooms, lobby, classes in schools, hospital wards, shops, audiences, baths, kindergartens and other similar establishments;

in the premises that are under the warehouse of combustible and flammable materials;

In the premises that are adjacent to the warehouses of combustible and flammable materials (except for the fuel warehouse required for the operation of the steam boiler).

Operation of a steam boiler

The use of a steam boiler contains two important stages affecting the duration of the service life of this device.

1. Water treatment is the first main point during the operation of a steam boiler. Unprepared polluted water, which has many mineral impurities, will lead to a decrease in the productivity of the device and to a possible breakdown. Incorrectly prepared water can cause an accident. The characteristic features for water purification depend on its source, from which it will enter the steam boiler. To reduce mineral salts, special chemical impurities are added to the water, one of which is sodium zeolite. Oxygen is also removed – it is the cause of pipe rusting. Even if all water purification measures are observed, it is necessary to check the pipes in a planned manner and clean them if necessary.

The pipes of the steam boiler are also protected, covering with a special refractory coating. The accumulation of ash on the outer walls should be under control – it should be regularly removed. At large enterprises, all these processes are monitored from the dispatch with video surveillance.

2. The steam boiler was used before manually, at the moment, all processes are automated. The control system includes the device for turning on/off the fuel combustion process, the regulation of fuel, water, steam, also collecting information from all indicators (data that controls the performance of the steam boiler).

Observing all the features of these stages, you can extend the service life of a steam boiler for the longest possible.
