One of the main problems in the construction of a country house or cottage, on which the comfort of your future housing will depend to a large extent, is the problem of heating. To date, a huge assortment of equipment for heating a country house is presented on the building materials market, it is sometimes not very easy to figure out even a specialist. It is necessary to approach the solution of this problem with special attention, otherwise the beginning of the heating season will show you all the shortcomings of your chosen type of heating.
The main element of the heating system in a country house – a boiler – must be selected based on the layout of your home and the requirements put forward to the heating system. The first problem that needs to be solved when choosing a boiler is the problem of energy used in it. There are boilers of various types that work on different energy carriers.
The first of them is a gas boiler. Such boilers are very convenient and affordable, so they are highly appreciated by owners of country houses. Gas, as you know, is relatively cheap and, moreover, environmentally friendly energy carrier. The gas boiler that you turn on at the beginning of the heating season will be able to work in automatic mode uninterruptedly for many months. But not always at the location of your country house can be a main gas pipeline and therefore often there is no possibility of using a gas boiler during the construction of a cottage or a country house.
The second type is boilers working on solid fuel. Fuel used in solid fuel boilers can be firewood, coke, coal. Boilers are produced for which only one of these types of fuel is provided, some work on any of them. Fuel boilers are very often equipped with special sensors, which maintain a constant temperature at the output.
The third type of boilers for country houses – boilers working on liquid fuel. Energy can be fuel oil for them, diesel fuel, kerosene TS 1. This variety of boilers is more expensive than others.
There is another type – combined or multi -fuel boilers that have two burners: hinged (for gas and diesel fuel), as well as a special chamber designed to burn solid fuel. Basically, boilers of this type are integrated when new requirements appear.
When choosing a boiler, pay close attention to the material from which it is made. The most durable and reliable material is cast iron. For example, during the operation of cast -iron boilers for at least twenty -five years, there is no problem of burning the boiler and its corrosion. Cast iron boilers will be able to reliably serve you for more than fifty years, but when they are used, it must be remembered that cast iron is a very fragile material that can crack with a strong impact or when cold water enters the boiler. Steel boilers are much less susceptible to deformation and blows, but they are unlikely to last you without repair for more than ten years.
Almost all modern gas boilers use automatic mode in the work, but if you have interruptions in power supply, take care of buying a boiler with automation independent of electricity! Such automation will ensure maintaining the necessary water temperature, protect you from overheating or very high pressure in the boiler even if electricity is turned off.
