Coop doors are very practical. They do not take out living space, look good and convenient in circulation. For these reasons, they have become very popular in our time. However, they periodically fail. Replacing them is not so difficult and expensive, but for this you need to know some rules.
To replace the door-wreck, you will need: a door leaf, accessories, a wooden bar, nails, anchor bolts, screws, a chisel, a hammer and a screwdriver.
With a difference of 20 cm, mark the place for holes on the guide bar. Drill these holes for screws. For this, it is best to use screwdriver. So you will fasten the guide to the beam of the bar.
Make a groove in the bottom of the door leaf. The lower guide roller will move along it, which does not allow to deviate to the sides of the lower part of the cape when opening and closing. It is convenient to do this with a woodworking machine or milling cutter. But if you do not have one, then this can be done with a chisel and hammer. It is advisable to first mark the end of the door leaf with a pencil, draw a line where the groove will take place. In this case, it must be remembered that the groove should be even, do not have a zabin and burrs. If you make a groove with a chisel, at the end it is desirable to fade it.
Fasten with screws to the upper end of the door leaf of the bar, which are included in the package of accessories for the door-cap. They are used to install the upper rollers on the door. Using a special nut located on the mounting planes, install the door in the horizontal direction. To exclude the possibility of involuntary opening of the door, fix the beam on the wall horizontally. Fix the lower video with self -tapping screws. Now you can install the door leaf on the rollers and attach the movement limiters supplied in the kit.
To attach the platband covering the wooden beam and the guide bar, the finish nails are used. At the last stage, definitely adjust the door horizontally. Fasten the door handle at a convenient level.
Now your cope door will last a long time. If you did everything correctly and did not allow distortions or burrs in grooves, then you will be satisfied with the work done by your own work and saved money.
When installing it should be taken into account another fact. Cope doors are not soundproofing.
