Before laying the parquet as accurately as possible, determine its area. This must be known to determine the amount of material purchased.
The surface of the floor, before laying parquet, must be leveled with a cement-sand screed. After that, you need to give several days to dry and shrink it.
If the thickness of the screed is up to four centimeters, then 1 is enough for a centimeter enough. If the thickness is larger, then one and a half to two weeks by 1 cm. Read how to make a screed.
Parquet must first be stored in the room where it will be laid for two weeks – so it will accept the humidity that will be indoors. To check the readiness of the screed, it is enough to scratch a few intersecting stripes at an angle of 45 degrees with a nail. If where the scratches intersect, the screed does not rush, then you can start placing a parquet.
Before laying parquet. the floor must be cleaned as much as possible from dust. And only after that is a special composition for steam and waterproofing is applied. It will provide good adhesion of glue layers with the base.
After that, plywood is glued, attached to the floor with dowels and sanded it.
With flooring, standard sheets of waterproof plywood are cut into four parts. Its thickness should be not less than 10-12 mm. When laying between the sheets, there should be gaps from six to fifteen mm.
After that, you should give the faner to “lay down” up to five days. Only after that is masonry parquet.
